In the middle of the month the Azul teachers and I learned how resilient the children truly are. With the unfortunate flooding incident that affected both Amarillo and Azul, we were given the opportunity to join forces and combine classrooms until the end of the school year. The children have been wonderful and have really helped us make this a smooth transition. As you all know, Miss Khavitha is preparing to begin her new journey as an Elementary teacher and Miss Apsara and I have been able to work together to create an atmosphere that allows the children to be a part of one group.
For the month of June, Miss Apsara and I have decided to begin a new unit on sunflowers. We are very excited to create this unit as a team and look forward to exploring subjects such as their life cycle, the parts of a sunflower, the different types of sunflowers and how tall a sunflower can be. We will also be creating fun sunflower art as well as making some delicious sunflower seed snacks.
We are looking forward to a fun and exciting month!
Kind regards, Miss Monica
