​Dive into a summer of discovery and wonder!
​

Our 2025 Summer Camp, Journey Through the Elements, invites children to explore the natural world through the captivating forces of earth, air, fire, water, and beyond. Over seven immersive weeks, campers will engage in hands-on STEAM activities, creative arts, and outdoor adventures that ignite curiosity and imagination.

​With expert-led sessions, engaging guests, and a focus on community, this camp is a perfect blend of fun and learning. Join us for an unforgettable summer journey!

​Each week is its own session and will have a dedicated theme-related enrichment activity to culminate the week. 
​

This program will take place over 7 weeks.

Weekly Themes & Activities

Week 1: Roots and Wings (Earth and Air)
July 7 - July 11
Start the summer by connecting with the earth beneath your feet and the endless sky above! Campers will dive into the wonders of nature, experimenting with movement, flight, and natural creations. In celebration of Redmond Derby Days, our MCH Traditional Bike Parade will bring the whole community together for a fun and festive ride. It’s the perfect mix of outdoor exploration, creativity, and camaraderie to set the tone for the summer ahead! ​
Week ​2: Blazing Trails (Fire)
July 14 - July 18
This week, we turn up the heat! Campers will explore the world of energy, light, and transformation, diving into experiments that explore heat and the science of fire. As a special treat, we’ll welcome the Redmond Fire Department for an exciting visit where campers will learn about fire safety, emergency response, and meet some real-life heroes. This action-packed week will fuel curiosity and inspire young minds to think about how energy shapes the world around us! 
Week 3: Into the Clouds (Air)
July 21 - July 25
Look up and let your imagination soar! Campers will discover the mysteries of the sky, from the science of weather to the magic of the clouds above. They’ll engage in fun, hands-on activities, and creative projects, all while uncovering the wonders of the atmosphere. This week will also feature a special guest who will share Indigenous stories, providing a rich cultural perspective on the world above. It’s a week to dream big and explore the vastness of our skies! 
Week 4: Splash and Dash (Water)
July 28 - August 1
Make a splash with a week full of watery adventures! Campers will dive into exciting water-themed activities, from experimenting with buoyancy to building creative aquatic designs. Outdoor fun will be taken to the next level with water slides, bouncy houses, and plenty of splashy surprises with Tony’s Blow Up Toys! Additionally, this week includes our traditional tye-dye activity. This week is sure to keep everyone cool, creative, and engaged in some unforgettable watery fun! ​
Week 5: Stones and Structures (Metal and Stone)
August 4 - August 8
Explore the world of solid foundations and creative construction! Campers will dive into the fascinating properties of stone and metal, discovering how these materials shape the world around us. Through hands-on activities and artistic projects, they’ll explore architecture, design, and the beauty of natural elements. We'll create a one of a kind, metal wrapped stone art piece for your camper to bring home and cherish. This week will spark creativity and provide a deeper understanding of how structures are built and how nature and art intersect. 
Week 6: The Light Within (Fire and Light)
August 11 - August 15
Let your creativity shine bright! This week will be filled with artistic exploration through the magic of light, color, and shadow. Campers will experiment with interactive projects that play with light, including shadow puppetry and colorful creations. The week will be extra special with a Thistle Theatre shadow puppet show, bringing storytelling to life in an engaging and mesmerizing way. A week of art, science, and wonder that will light up the summer! ​​
Week 7: Unity of the Elements (All Elements)
August 18 - August 22
Celebrate the unforgettable summer journey by bringing everything together! This week is all about collaboration, creativity, and the spirit of adventure, with exciting challenges, group projects, and a fun end-of-camp celebration. To close out the summer in style, Dana Lyons will join us for an uplifting concert, filling the air with music, joy, and inspiration. It’s the perfect finale to a summer filled with discovery, growth, and fun! ​
​Please note: Camp shirts are included in tuition while supplies last. If you register after May 31, we may not have your selected shirt size or any shirts available. Shirt sizes requested during registration cannot be guaranteed for late registrations. MCH will provide AM and PM snacks, as well as a snack for Extended Day if your child is enrolled. Please be sure to pack your child's lunch daily and a water bottle. 

Cancellation Policy - Weeks 1-3 can not be cancelled after June 1, 2025 and Weeks 4-7 can not be cancelled after July 1, 2025. All refunds for cancellations prior to deadlines will be subject to a $25 cancellation fee per week.
