Elia Sanders
(she/her)
Snack Coordinator
Elia has always been passionate about working with children. She first began as a camp counselor in high school and continued to build her experience during her time at Western, where she interned in the Bellingham Public Schools alongside a school social worker and supported students ages 6–12. Elia also volunteered across the district, taught as an assistant toddler teacher at the Whatcom YMCA, and spent several summers with MCH’s camp program. She is excited to now be part of MCH during the school year and to continue growing with this community. Her favorite part of teaching at MCH is witnessing children develop their natural curiosity, independence, and confidence at every stage of growth. She especially enjoys building meaningful connections with students and supporting them as they discover their unique strengths. Outside the classroom, Elia enjoys spending time with her dog, exploring new art and craft projects, and appreciating the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
