Beloved Traditions
Connection Week
Connection Week is a campus-wide tradition rooted in Dr. Maria Montessori’s peace education and MCH’s core values. Each day of the week is assigned a color of the rainbow, with each color representing a specific value. Throughout the week, students and staff are encouraged to participate by wearing the color of the day in any way that feels comfortable—from full monochromatic outfits to small accessories like socks or hair clips. The simplicity of matching colors becomes a powerful, visible way for our students to experience inclusion, solidarity, and the message that they are an essential part of our community.

Harvest Fest
For over 30 years, Harvest Fest is one of MCH’s most beloved traditions. Each fall, our campus comes alive with seasonal activities, festive treats, and the joyful energy of families connecting and celebrating together.
This event is all about community. Children and siblings of all ages can enjoy hands-on booths, games, and sensory-rich experiences. Families can sip warm cider, snack on popcorn and pickles, and take in the cozy atmosphere of the season.
Costumes are welcome but never required. The focus is on comfort, fun, and being together. Volunteers play a key role in helping bring the event to life, continuing the tradition of shared involvement that defines so much of the MCH experience.
