Adopt-A-Highway Dates
What is Adopt-A-Highway
The Adopt-A-Highway program, established by the state of Washington, is a community-driven initiative that aims to keep our roadsides clean and free of litter. By participating in this program, individuals can help preserve the natural beauty of their surroundings and protect the local wildlife from harm.
Montessori Children’s House is proud to be a part of this program and hosts 3-4 cleanup events annually. During these events, members of our community come together to clean up a stretch of the 202 highway. By volunteering for these events, you can make a positive impact on your community and help keep our environment clean and healthy.

Environmental Statement
At Montessori Children's House, we believe in fostering a sense of environmental responsibility and sustainability among our entire school community. We are proud to be a green school that prioritizes creating a learning environment that fosters eco-consciousness and empowers our students to become responsible global citizens. Through various initiatives, such as recycling programs, energy conservation efforts, and promoting sustainable practices, we strive to minimize our ecological footprint.
We are thrilled to continue our participation in the adopt-a-highway program with the invaluable support of our dedicated parent volunteers. By actively engaging in this initiative, our community has consistently made a positive impact on the environment by contributing to the cleanliness and preservation of our local highway. Through regular clean-up events, our parent volunteers have not only demonstrated their commitment to maintaining a clean and sustainable environment, but also served as role models for our students. We are grateful for their involvement and look forward to continuing our joint efforts in creating a cleaner and greener community together.
