Weekly Themes & Activities
Week 1: Guardians of the Green
July 8 - July 12
Guardians of the Green week is our spin on sustainability! This week focuses on empowering campers to be environmental heroes. They will participate in hands on recycling, upcycling, and sustainable practices, turning our slice of our Enchanted Forest into a vibrant, living classroom. Campers will engage in eco-friendly activities, from crafting recycled art to planting mini gardens, fostering a deep connection with the environment. We are hopeful that campers will leave this week inspired, as they discover the importance of preserving the magic of nature and becoming stewards of the land. Kicking off our Summer Camp and returning to MCH is our favorite environmentally conscious musician, Dana Lyons who will charm us once again with his tunes about sustainability and our natural world.

The pinnacle of the week is our annual Bike Parade, where campers will decorate their bikes with fallen forest foliage and parade through our driveway, celebrating the harmony between nature and human creativity. This lively event fosters a sense of community and showcases the imaginative spirit that thrives within our campers' minds. Every step taken and pedal pushed will lead to an unforgettable adventure.

WEEK 4: nature's Pantry
July 29 - August 2
Nature's Pantry is the week where the magic of foraging meets the creativity of tie-dye! In this special week, campers embark on a journey into the heart of our Enchanted Forest to explore its bountiful pantry of natural treasures. During this week, campers will learn the art of foraging, discovering edible plants, herbs, and fruits that nature generously provides. Our Camp Counselors will lead foraging expeditions around our wetlands, teaching essential skills in ethical harvesting and the importance of sustainability. As part of a newly cherished tradition, we will be creating tie-dye shirts this week! Our elementary campers will have the unique opportunity to forage the campus for natural materials to use in their dying, and with their newfound knowledge, they will be able to extract pigments from leaves, flowers, and berries to create a stunning array of colors for their provided shirts.
Elementary Program Only: On Tuesday, our campers set off on an outdoor adventure, ready to embrace nature's wonders. We honor every family's choice; should you opt out of the hike, please note there won't be alternate care on campus.
To make these excursions even more special, we invite parents to volunteer as drivers—no pressure, but your help would be cherished. These hikes promise a blend of adventure and learning, enriching your child's summer.
