Circle Time – Sharing: 9:00-9:15. We will be sharing our favorite Vegetables or foods. Your child can come ready to show this food to their friends, and see what their friends are going to share.

Afternoon Activity- Language/Cognitive – Vegetable Shopping. Materials Needed: Cards with numbers 1 to 10, shopping basket or bag, and pictures of vegetables (included in packet). Real Vegetables optional.

Island Project Celebration Parade at MCH! Please come and celebrate our 6th grade students as they have completed their year long Island Project!!!! We normally have a huge presentation and celebration to mark this culminating project, and we can’t this year. In order to still be able to celebrate our students, we are inviting you to participate in our first ever Island Project Parade around the turn around at MCH. Details as far as what to expect will be coming soon! Our 6th graders can’t WAIT to celebrate with you!

Additional Materials: ½ cup water.
Outcome: sensory exploration, strengthening hand grip, refining fine motor skills of mixing and spooning
Afternoon Activity- Practical Life/Helping at home – Waters Plants.
Materials Needed: Watering Can or a Cup/Pitcher and Indoor or Outdoor Plants.
Outcome: Building respect for living things, finding joy in nature, practical life skills of pouring further developed
Bloomz Circle Time Video- Animals Everywhere Book
Tuesday-
Morning Activity - Birdseed Spooning.
Materials Needed: 1 cup of birdseed (provided in packet).
Additional Materials Needed: 2 bowls and a spoon.
Outcome: Refinement of spooning materials, improves eye-hand coordination, builds further concentration
Afternoon Activity- Sensorial/Fine Motor-Art – Nature Art.
Materials Needed: Contact Paper (2 sheets provided in packet). Additional Materials: Tape and nature from exploring the outdoors (grass, leaves, flower petals, etc.)
Outcome: Encourages creativity, greater connection to outdoors and the natural world, an appreciation for natures beauty
Circle Time – Sharing: 9:30-9:45. We will be sharing something we found outside when exploring nature. Your child can come ready to show this piece of nature to their friends, and see what their friends are going to share.
Music Circle- 10:15-10:30

Materials Needed: Playdough (ingredients included in packet) Additional Materials Needed: Sticks, Rocks, Outdoor items fun to build with.

Outcome: Building more vocabulary, pattern recognition, and building appreciation for animals

Join us for a community theatrical event on Zoom as we listen to Act 1 (Episode 1 and Episode 2)!

- Materials Needed: 1 card, 1 Envelope, stickers (included in packet). Additional Materials Needed: Coloring utensils and Stamp if placing in mail.
- Outcome: Refining peeling of stickers and coloring, strengthening appreciation for art and others
- Materials Needed: 1 Gallon bag with ¼ cup rock-salt in the bag, 2 sandwich bags (included in packet). Additional Materials Needed: 3 Cups Ice, ½ cup heavy whipping cream (options milk or almond milk), Flavor Options: Vanilla, Chocolate, Sprinkles, etc.
- Outcome: Strengthening jumping skills, experimenting with food science, sharing joy with your child.
Circle Time - 9:30-9:45. A time to come together and enjoy some circle time activities.
June 1-5, 2020 theme: the five senses
Monday-
Morning Activity - Smelling Bottles.
- Materials Needed: Two cotton balls each soaked in a different essential oil (included in packet) Additional Materials Needed: Two washed out empty bottles (such as water bottle, sports drink bottle, or empty spice bottles).
- Outcome: Developing active/descriptive language, refining olfactory senses
Afternoon Activity- Practical Life/Helping at home – Growing Cilantro.
- Materials Needed: Cilantro Seeds and ½ cup soil (included in packet) Additional Materials: Recycled Container (yogurt cup, etc) or a small pot and water.
- Outcome: Appreciation of living things, growing process of food, refining practical life skills of spooning and pouring
Tuesday-
Morning Activity - Extra Activity: Painting on Foil.
- Materials Needed: Small jar of paint and a paintbrush (provided in packet).
- Additional Materials Needed: Foil (if you don’t have foil they can just use paper), and baking sheet. Outcome: Sensory exploration, strengthening hand grip, exploring artistic creativity
Afternoon Activity- Sensorial/Fine Motor-Art – Homemade Kinetic Sand.
