Join us for a live concert from the MCH Facebook page on the MCH Nature Trail from local celebrated author, storyteller and children’s musician Eric Ode. We will also be filming the concert for those that can’t make it live. Help us celebrate 50 years of Earth Day as a community!

Island Project Celebration Parade at MCH! Please come and celebrate our 6th grade students as they have completed their year long Island Project!!!! We normally have a huge presentation and celebration to mark this culminating project, and we can’t this year. In order to still be able to celebrate our students, we are inviting you to participate in our first ever Island Project Parade around the turn around at MCH. Details as far as what to expect will be coming soon! Our 6th graders can’t WAIT to celebrate with you!

Outcome: sensory exploration, strengthening hand grip, refining fine motor skills of mixing and spooning
Afternoon Activity- Practical Life/Helping at home – Waters Plants.
Materials Needed: Watering Can or a Cup/Pitcher and Indoor or Outdoor Plants.
Outcome: Building respect for living things, finding joy in nature, practical life skills of pouring further developed
Bloomz Circle Time Video- Little Birdies with Ms.Steph
Tuesday- 5/19
Morning Activity – Birdseed Spooning.
Materials Needed: 1 cup of birdseed (provided in packet).
Additional Materials Needed: 2 bowls and a spoon.
Outcome: Refinement of spooning materials, improves eye-hand coordination, builds further concentration
Afternoon Activity- Sensorial/Fine Motor-Art – Nature Art.
Materials Needed: Contact Paper (2 sheets provided in packet). Additional Materials: Tape and nature from exploring the outdoors (grass, leaves, flower petals, etc.)
Outcome: Encourages creativity, greater connection to outdoors and the natural world, an appreciation for natures beauty
Circle Time – Sharing: 9:00-9:15. We will be sharing something we found outside when exploring nature. Your child can come ready to show this piece of nature to their friends, and see what their friends are going to share.

Additional Materials Needed: Sticks, Rocks, Outdoor items fun to build with.
