This month we “bid adieu” to Cole who has entered the La Casa Toddler Classroom. He slowly transitioned throughout the month of October and is now happy to be amongst his older friends’ full time. In fact, he appears to “sparkle” with an enthusiasm as he explores the many interesting works of his new environment. Hugs to Cole and his family in celebration of his transition in to toddlerhood!
The key words in the classroom for October were: “orange”, “pumpkin”, “gourd”, “bumpy”, “smooth”, and “leaves”. Our favorite book was “Spots Halloween” which I read over and over and over. I think “Spot” is our favorite dog right now! We also enjoyed music with Ms. Amy and the fun new songs that she introduced in October. We love dancing and clapping with the toddlers!! The key words for November are the same as in October with the addition of “rain”, “puddles”, “wind”, “turkey” and “thankful”. We enjoy watching the leaves fall to the ground…touching them…and watching them crumble in our hands. Unfortunately, Ms Kim will not let us taste them! “Thankful” is the favorite word of the month. We are so thankful for a community that enables us to thrive toward optimal development… a community that embraces respect, independence, sensory exploration, love, laughter, and friendship. Thank you to families and staff members of MCH that give so much to our community. Have a great Thanksgiving vacation!!
