January was a wonderful time of welcoming new friends to our classroom.  Lots of new smiles and laughter could be seen and heard.  The month also brought a focus on taking care of the environment around us.  This could be seen in the children cleaning and setting the tables before lunch, as well as helping to sweep the playground.  In addition to taking care of the environment there was also lots of talking about how to respect our friends by asking “Are you ok?” if a friend happened to fall or was crying.  The kindness and helpfulness seen around the classroom and playground was very prominent. 

The month of February promises great changes and excitement to our classroom.  At the end of the month we will be moving into our new classroom, which holds so much new exploration and wonder for the children.  It will be great to see the children interact with the sinks and toilets that are made especially for them, as well as the wonderful tall windows which will allow the children to gaze out of them.  We are very excited to get settled into our new and beautiful classroom.
