Happy Friday! We took full advantage of the weather today and had a picnic on the nature trail. It was great to get out of the classroom in short sleeves and let the sun soak in.
We spent the week rehearsing our songs for next week's End of the Year Party, completing assessments and lessons, and the Kindergartners had their big tea! It was fun watching them work so hard to prepare everything, and we hope everyone had a wonderful time. Thank you so much to Ms. Aneta and Ms. Khavitha for coordinating all the beautiful details.
Students brought home their final homework packet of the year, and we are also finished with spelling. Next week we will prepare portfolios and prepare to bring all our work home. Kindergartners brought home their Progress Reports in their Friday Folders today. El students will receive theirs on June 20. Next week will also be our last week of specialists.
We hope to see everyone next Saturday at Rosa Parks Elementary for the End of the Year Party. It is from 10-12. Elementary students will help their Kindergartner buddy graduate and we have also prepared a few songs to sing for the community.
We are looking for parent volunteers to help with Fun Day on Thursday, June 19. We will spend the first hour signing yearbooks and at 10 am, students will move through different activities like tattoos, limbo, a dance party, a raffle, games, and more! Please let us know if you would like to help.
We hope you have a wonderful weekend and please enjoy the sunshine!
