This year February brought several days of snow! The snow falling is always such an exciting experience for the toddlers. They enjoyed stomping in it, using the new sand toys to scoop, rake and fill up the pans with snow. February was a fun time of celebrating friendships. The friendship fruit salad was a big success, and the children of Rosa really enjoyed bringing in a variety of fruits. The children enjoyed chopping and peeling the fruit, and helping each other serve the fruit salad. It was wonderful to see how proud the older toddlers were when they finished all their work and were ready to eat! March brings a focus on Spring and the change in weather to warmer temperatures. Our walks around the school will consist of looking for the changes in the environment such as; blooming flowers, as well as listening to the sounds of birds chirping. In the classroom we will work on coloring flowers, working with flower stickers, sifting bright yellow sand to find small bunnies and flowers, and scooping and pouring birdseed in the sensory table. We will be bringing flower arranging back into the classroom. This is always a favorite work with the toddlers. Thank you to all of the families that have signed up to bring flowers!
