January was a fast paced time. We learned about the North and South Poles and the animals that live there. Children read books to know the difference between the Arctic and Antarctica. We also studied the parts of the penguin and their habitat. The kindergartners got to make a diorama of Arctic animals. We also made fruit snowman for our cooking project of the month. The children also had a chance to do a hands on science experiment with parent volunteers. We have also been sewing regularly, and it helps them with their hand eye coordination.
In the month of February we will be learning about where water comes from and all the terminology regarding the water cycle. We are looking forward to it.
