Happy Friday Folks!
Wow, what a great experience we had with our school's first book fair! We are proud that there is so much enthusiasm towards books and reading. We would like to thank all the parent volunteers and all the students who helped make it a great success. The past week, students have helped decorate, talk with other classrooms, and help find and recommend books to parents and children at the fair. If you haven't made it yet, our final day with be this Saturday. We have a lot of fun events planned, including book talks, music by Ms. Amy, and face painting! We will see many of you there! After our library trip on Wednesday, everyone jumped right into researching their topic for Passion Projects. There was a buzz in the air as Upper Elementary students came to help and share in the excitement. We have a wide array of topics and can't wait to share the hard work with our community next month. Please look for your student's Passion Project agreement in their Friday folders, it needs to be signed by both parent and student and returned next week. Today, to celebrate Earth Day, we had a visit from the "Frog Lady" who brought in different frogs and toads from around the world and from the state of Washington. Our students were amazed at how huge some of the frogs were and had many questions about the lives of frogs and toads. It was a great way to end our week! We hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy your time with family. Peace, Ms. Jessie and Mr. Ben
