What an incredible week we have completed. It truly feels like Spring with all the new and exciting things happening. Student have been deep in research for their projects and lessons on Botany. We have started our geography unit on Europe. Students have been making new maps, labeling countries, and land and water forms of Europe. Students were also introduced to the stories they will be acting out during our Theater Residency Week. The Kindergarteners and 1st graders will be performing “Supper for Raven” and the 2nd through 6th graders will be performing “Raven.” Both stories come from local Native American tribes. They will be practicing from March 30th to April 2nd and 2 final performances will be held on April 3rd. There will be an email coming soon on how to sign-up for tickets for the performances.
On Thursday, the 3rd graders had their first ITBS practice test and were very excited and proud of having been able to complete it. Remember that the 3rd graders have ITBS testing on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning. We will continue with the normal schedule with new math and language lessons with the rest of the class, next week. Lastly, remember that Sharing will be Wednesday, April 1st. Students are able to bring in something to share with the class. Please make sure it can fit in their MCH backpack and is not electronic.
