November was a wonderful month in the Fucsia class! It has been such a joy watching the older toddlers help the new children with our daily routines. Our main focus this month was grace and courtesy. The children were busy helping each other set the tables for lunch, making and setting out nap mats and even enjoyed serving each other water.
New sensory experiences were another November highlight. Our sensory table was filled with oatmeal, cinnamon sticks, measuring cups and pie tins. The children loved smelling the cinnamon, scooping and pouring the oatmeal to make pies. We also introduced a matching sound work, which has delighted the children. They love shaking the boxes and then looking to see if they have the same amount of objects inside. December brought some snow flurries and cold weather! The toddlers have been working hard on getting themselves dressed for this weather! It has been such a joy watching them get ready to go and seeing how proud they are to accomplish this task on their own. We also started the month of December off with making a special gift for the toddlers to take home to their families. They are working with glue and glitter!
