We had a great time learning about community workers in the month of March. The children enjoyed talking about the different types of jobs people do and how they affect our community. They also got some insight on gender roles; the girls were very excited to learn that they too can one day become firefighters or police officers. The kids also learned new vocabulary by sorting pictures that correlate to different jobs; they especially liked all the equipment paramedics use!

Our art section was a hit with multiple opportunities to paint different community worker symbols; our traffic sign and police badge works were some of the most popular. In math the kids worked on numeral to quantity association by using a firefighter and veterinarian counting work.

Spring is here and we are so excited to learn all about bees and pollination this month. Our main concept will be how bees are so important to our environment and we will be doing lots of fun experiments, presentations and art projects. We can't wait!
