December 2014

Hello everyone,

In the month of November the children had a fabulous time learning about fruits and vegetables. We explored the parts of fruits and vegetables as well as their life cycle and we enjoyed tasting different fruits and vegetables each week! Thank you to everyone who participated by providing the fruits and veggies we needed for tasting and for our cooking projects. We also talked about the meaning of thanksgiving and had a fun celebration at the end of the month.

In the month of December we are focusing on a brand new unit. The children are beginning to learn about bunnies. We will explore the parts of a bunny, the different breeds of bunnies and we will also focus on how to care for them. We are expecting to adopt 2 bunnies towards the end of the month; the children are really looking forward to it!

In addition to our bunny unit, we will also be talking about the different holidays that are celebrated in the month of December. We are looking forward to parents visiting Amarillo to talk about their special celebrations and do some fun activities with the children.
