During April in the Amarillo classroom, we learned about oceans and the creatures that live in them. We talked about Easter, and the children were busy with trying new lessons and refining their abilities in all areas of the classroom. The children also helped to prepare an art piece which will be available for auction at the school’s thirtieth anniversary celebration.
We have been hopefully looking for signs of spring, which has felt late coming this year! We appreciate parents sending in hooded, water-resistant jackets each day, as the weather has often changed quickly while we are at play outside. In May we are looking forward to learning more about insects, but we will also enjoy a week of Ms. Sunanda leading the class with her own special lessons, as she nears the completion of her intern year. We hope to enjoy sunnier days and a little more time outside!
